Updated IBM i roadmap for 2022

With IBM i 7.5 being released IBM has updated its IBM i Roadmap image:

I find interesting:

  • IBM i 7.3 end of support 2023, you need to check if your Power server can host 7.4 or 7.5, if it can it is time to start planning that upgrade.
  • IBM i 7.4 end of support 2026
  • IBM i 7.5 end of support 2029
  • IBM i Next +1 goes through to 2035

This is something to show those naysayers who say that this operating is dead. This clearly shows that it is not!

You know that IBM i will exist beyond 2035. IBM does not list IBM i Next +2, etc., in their Roadmap images.

Do other operating system vendors provide a time line like this?
