ReplyDeletePower-based technologies are seriously challenging Intel throughout the world, especially in China, and hyper-scale computer centers such as the likes of Google. Power 8 handles more data, more processing, more reliably than x86, now and in the future.
IBM i makes a "great deal of money and profit for the IBM corporation". IBM i is a key part of Power systems strategy.
IBM i has a future in cloud computing and support for mobile clients.
IBM i is built for business.
Technology will change. IBM i will change with it.
